Golf in Thailand

If you are looking for a new destination with very nice golf courses, affordable, and a great travel experience, Thailand has you covered. I just returned from an 8-day trip visiting some new courses I had not seen before and I was impressed.  I played at Thai Country Club outside of Bangkok for starters. This is a very nice course and club. From there is was off to Pattaya, an area with lots of golf courses. The first round played there was at Laem Chabang, a Nicklaus 27-hole layout. Very good course in very good condition. Next was the new course Waterside at Siam Country Club. A good course but the Plantation course is a better layout in my opinion. It also has the Old Course where the LPGA has the Honda Open. Next was the SoiDao Highland course.  This course is a long way from Bangkok and there isn’t anything near there to do or visit besides staying at the course which has a nice hotel. The setting is very nice up against hills and bordering a national park. You may hear the roar of a bull elephant from the park or see monkeys around the course. At the present time the course is undergoing some serious grass replacement in the fairways which should be completed in the net 90 days or so.  In addition to these courses there are a number of new courses in Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hua Hin. We can arrange for a very nice golf experience for you in this land of smiles and have it cost less than a trip to Hawaii!
