Canada

This country offers many great golfing opportunities from Vancouver Island in the West, to Whistler, Predator Ridge, Banff, Jasper, Montreal, and Prince Edward Island in the East.  Tell us where you would like to visit and we will arrange a fabulous vacation for you based on our personal experience, having visited all of these destinations.

PREDATOR RIDGE

The 1200 acre Predator Ridge property provides variety and beauty throughout the entire site. The rural setting in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley is framed by views of surrounding mountains.

The natural vegetation and terrain dictates that the golf course be integrated into the pine covered ridges, existing lakes, and woven through the wheatgrass meadows. Since its opening in 1991, the golf course has delighted golfers of all types: from those interested in the pure personal challenge of the game to those more inclined to focus on the gorgeous setting and ambiance.

 Golf

At Predator Ridge they are very serious about golf. However, they are even more serious about ensuring that their guests have a great day, or a great stay when they visit. They have therefore developed very stringent rules of play:

1. Bring your camera, 2. Relax, remember golf is your recreation and not your occupation, 3. Golf is to be enjoyed, it is our job to make sure this happens at Predator Ridge.

BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL

Located in Banff, Alberta, this impressive European style Chateau Resort Hotel has one of the most memorable settings of any hotel in the world, and features a very scenic 27-hole golf course.
The Banff Springs offers all the amenities of a world-class resort, with 770 superbly appointed guest rooms, the finest wines and cuisine, a relaxing and luxurious spa and attentive, personalized service. Few hotels in the world can rival the majesty, hospitality and scenery of the historic Banff Springs. Its blend of opulence and seclusion has been a symbol of Rocky Mountain magnificence for more than a century. Canada’s Castle in the Rockies offers stunning vistas, championship golf, unparalleled skiing, classic cuisine and Solace, a European-style spa. Experience timeless beauty and luxurious comfort in a pristine wilderness.

Renowned for its panoramic beauty, the Banff Springs Golf Course is both captivating and challenging. The optical illusions created by the mountains towering overhead can deceive the eye of even the most skilled player. Stanley Thompson, master golf course architect, used his expert talent when he designed the original 18 holes in 1928. Making the most of the natural landscape, he weaved the course around majestic evergreens, in the shadow of the mountains and along the banks of two rivers. In 1989, 9 holes were added, resulting in 27 holes of championship layout. The Banff Springs Golf Course is open from early May to mid-October.

CHATEAU MONTEBELLO

Chateau Montebello is the largest log structure in the world and a beautiful hotel.  In addition to a very nice golf course, the hotel also features a 400+ acre property with lakes and a Rover Test Track where you can test your off-road driving skills.

Le Château Montebello is an exceptional resort famed for its rugged luxury. Here, in a stunning Red Cedar log château, you’ll experience a certain rustic elegance enhanced by a warm and luxurious welcome. Beautiful surroundings and year-round activities, including golf, hiking, horseback riding, and skiing ensure you an outdoor experience marked by fun and serenity.

Le Château Montebello Golf Club is another of master architect Stanley Thompson’s wonderful mountain courses from the 1930s. Thompson used the dramatic elevation changes on the property to great effect; many high tees provide lovely views of the gentle rolls of the surrounding Laurentians, and a few par 3’s have long and exciting vertical drops to hillside greens.

Unlike most new courses today, each hole at Montebello seems secluded, providing that lovely closed-in feeling, like your group is the only one on the planet. It’s only 6,235 yards from the back tees, but the outstanding design will give you plenty of fight.

CHATEAU MONT TREMBLANT

At the foot of the Laurentians’ most majestic peak, and nestled in the heart of the region’s most picturesque village, discover Château Mont Tremblant.
The Chateau Mont Tremblant is located in the very popular ski are of Eastern Canada.  The area features four very nice golf courses, with La Bete, Le Geant, and Le Diable being the most modern and challenging courses.  The resort is located about 1.5 hours easy driving from Montreal.

Spectacular golf awaits at Golf Tremblant. Featuring two highly regarded championship 18-hole courses, Le Geant (The Giant) and Le Diable (The Devil), Mont Tremblant is quickly earning praise as a golf hotspot in addition to its well-earned reputation as Eastern North America’s finest ski resort. Sculpted majestically into some of the most incredible natural terrain in Canada, both courses boast challenging designs, excellent conditioning, velvety greens, and dramatic vistas through the rolling Laurentians mountains.

The Giant:This course takes your game to exhilarating heights. Split-level greens step up the mountain side, 52 strategically situated sand traps challenge your game, and all-around spectacular views of the peaks above and the lake below make it hard to keep your eye on the ball (par 72). Le Géant`s design merited Golf Digest`s 4 1 / 2 stars rating in 1998.

The Devil: Championship course designed by the renowned team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Here the fairways snake through the tall pine woods and the course’s 44 fiery red sand traps wait to swallow that little white ball (par 71). In 1999, Le Diable hosted the Canadian Skins Game, as well as Canada`s Prime Minister Jean Chrétien and US President Clinton.
