We are pleased to add Bali to our
selection of destinations around the globe because we
believe that anyone visiting this island will come back
with some very pleasant memories. We have all heard
about Bali over the years and the Balinese people. It is
hard to find a destination anywhere in the world that
has natives as friendly. These people cannot wipe
the smiles of their faces and are always willing to do
whatever they can to be of assistance.
There are four golf courses on the island,
all very different. Bali Golf and CC is located in Nusa Dua
where a number of the nice hotels are located. The Nirwana
Bali Golf Course is located some 45 minutes from Nusa Dua and a very
nice course with some very pretty holes along the ocean. The
Bali Handara Kosaido Golf Club is located in an extinct volcano
crater and thus quite scenic. It takes a couple of hours to
drive there but you get to see the countryside and all the terraced
rice fields along the way and experience the locals on scooters
cutting in front of cars and buses! The newest course on Bali
is the New Kuta Golf Club which is quite a challenge and features
many very good holes. It is located on the Southwestern rim of the
Bukit Peninsula and not far from hotels such as the Ritz Carlton,
Four Seasons and Intercontinental.
The hotels in Bali are fabulous and the
prices much lower than similar hotels in Hawaii. Our favorites
are the Ritz Carlton which offers regular rooms, Club rooms and
villas. The Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay is also quite nice and only
offers villas. The Intercontinental Hotel is an option as
well. Hotels like the Grand Hyatt and the Ayodya Resort in Nusa Dua
serve a different segment of travelers and are very large and busy.

For someone looking for an escape from
crowds, the Four Seasons Sayan is great. Located near Ubud
away from Denpasar, this hotel is in the jungle and very unique. Of
course there are more hotels available but these rise to the top.
