Buenos Aires

The city of Buenos Aires, one of the most important Latin American cities, is a great cosmopolitan and many-sided metropolis. This city astonishes the tourist with its evident universal influence. It is the capital of the Argentine Republic and the vital bond of the nation.

Many streets recall those of Paris. Its numberless museums, exposition and conference centers, art galleries, cinemas and theatres with national and international spectacles of high quality, are witnesses of its important cultural life.

The Colon Theatre, one of the most important lyrical theatres in the world, is seat, together with some other scenaries, of an intense musical activity that comprises all genres including, of course, the famous and typical Tango; besides, the city is frequently visited by orchestras, groups and soloists from all over the world.

Financial, stock-exchange and economical seat of the country, Buenos Aires is the main port of the nation. It has an intense commercial activity, reflected in numberless shops of the main worldfamous branches, shop centres and commercial shoppings.\

Its nightlife is quite varied and extends up to the ealy hours. Discos, restaurants, cafeterias and many other attractions for all tastes are spread all around the city offering the tourist a large number of options.

Bariloche (Rio Negro)

San Carlos de Bariloche was founded on May, 1902 on the shores of the Nahuel Huapi lake in the province of Río Negro. The city stands out for its architectural features and for being located in a priviledged region due to the beauty of its landscapes made up of mountains, woods, lakes, glaciers, and an exuberant flora.

It is one of the most populated cities in the province and one of the most important tourist centres in Argentina. Its characteristic architecture consists of buildings made from stones and wood with slated gabled roofs, that give the city a very special physiognomy. Among the most outstanding groups we can mention the Civic Centre, seat of the main official organisms.

Within the centre arteries there are varied shops and commercial shop centres, cafeterias, and restaurants. The city also has an important busy night life.  Bariloche can be enjoyed all the year long. In the spring and summer seasons, it is ideal for carrying out all kinds of excursions and outdoor activities; in winter, the snow offers a singular panorama, including the skiing spectacle in one of the most important Argentine centres for the practice of this sport in South America: Mount Cathedral. Within this frame, there exists the famous Fiesta Nacional de la Nieve (Snow National Celebration)  which constitutes a truly international sporting, artistic and social event.

The regional chocolates, in any of its numberless varieties are the mostly appreciated souvenirs for all tourists. In some shops you can see the way the are elaborated. The marmalades elaboration made of regional fine fruits also stand out.

Mar del Plata

It is the most important beach resort in Argentina, and offers a coastline of more than 17 kilometres with beaches and services according to their hierarchy.  It is a modern city in which you can see both sophisticated and popular beaches, modern building conglomerates and residential areas, a busy night life and reflection and peaceful zones.

It has an important architectonic patrimony, with buildings belonging to the beginnings of the century. Its numerous parks, squares and gardens, with colorful varied flowers offer the tourist a singular surrounding landscape. The Northern beaches, in La Perla, constitute a classic that integrates to the downtown beaches through Point Iglesia, where a traditional touring area begins and extends up to the Torreón del Monje (Monk's Tower).

The Chica and Grande Beaches, the nearest ones to the port, offer a contrast with its rocky outcroppings and beautiful parks, in an attractive tour. After the marplatense port, where you can enjoy a cuisine specialized in sea fruits, the Punta Mogotes complex gathers 24 beach resorts with the most complete infrastructure of beach services.

At a short distance from the Point Mogotes lighthouse, the wide. open sea and most quiet Southern beaches begin. Some of them are quite luxurious offering all types of services. The presence of sierras and water mirrors in the proximity of Mar del Plata, offers the tourist the possibility of practicing numerous activities related to adventure tourism. Thematic parks, aquariums, ecologic farms, sea and air trips and embarked fishing excursions are some of the alternatives present all the year long. Mar del Plata offers the visitor an excellent commercial proposal through its commercial shop centers, shopping, cafeterias, discotheques, casinos and restaurants.

Iguazu Falls (Misiones)

The city is situated in the northern extreme of the province of Misiones on the border between Paraguay and Brazil. It is located right in the confluence of the Paraná and Iguazú rivers. Its port has an intense movement with Port Meira (Brazil), in a typical bordering zone with movement of people in the direction in which the money exchange is more favourable. Its great tourist infrastructure has lead this city to be the fourth as long as population of the province is concerned.

Puerto Iguazú is linked with Brazil and Ciudad del Este in the Republic of Paraguay through the International Bridge Tancredo Neves.  It concentrates an important chain of tourist services at an international level. Right from this city you can take part in different excursions and visits to the Iguazú National Park and the Iguazu Falls which, considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World due to their natural magnificence and their wonderful vegetation, astound those who have the possibility of getting in contact with them.

This city forms a natural balcony that looks to Brazil over the inferior Iguazu and the Paraguay rivers through the Alto Paraná. The sight is specially interesting from the watchtower that is located in the Hito Argentino (Argentine milestone) -obligatory visit in this city, right in the confluence of the Iguazú and Paraná rivers.

 OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS:

Argentina is a rather large country and as such has a lot to offer.  For instance, any extension of the tour should include a 2-night visit to Iguazu Falls in the north, bordering Brazil and Argentina.  These falls are spectacular. If you have never seen these falls, this extension is almost a MUST!

Other extension possibilities are to the wine country – Mendoza.  We can arrange for you to visit wineries on your own private tour with tastings of some fabulous Malbecs and Cabernets.  They also make some very nice Chardonnays in Argentina as well as blends.  Golf arrangements can also be made in Mendoza for you.

We will be more than happy to work with you on an extension of the basic trip and give you our thoughts as to what you should do based on our own experience and after discussing the matter with you.
